The Middle Ages
Year 2 begins where Year 1 left off: with Europe in chaos and Byzantium as the caretaker of the literary works of antiquity. Soon, students study the rise of Islam and the Viking culture and then settle down to focus on the religious, political, social, artistic, and cultural distinctives of the Middle Ages in Western Europe. One highlight of Year 2 is the suggested Medieval Feast that comprises the recommended Unit Celebration.
If you have not yet tried the new organization system that we debuted this past summer, you may not be aware that all your Year Two curriculum and supplements can now be found on the Year Two page! You can also reach it via the “My Library” section of your Account page under “By Learning Levels.” The Tapestry community as a whole has been so enthusiastic about this change that we have decided to remove the Unit pages curriculum content which is now redundant. We plan to add new Unit Introduction and Organization content here in the new year, so please visit again!
