Individual subjects

Pop Quiz
Description

Short audio overview of all Tapestry subjects for fathers, with short discussion questions.

Make busy dads a part of the homeschool journey. Pop Quiz provides a 15-minute audio summary of the weekโ€™s topics on all levels of what the students are learning each week of Tapestry. And itโ€™s not only for dads; itโ€™s popular with moms on the go too! Itโ€™s amazing how much you can learn in only 15 minutes per week

Geography Cards
Product Description

Students will build strong geography foundations while learning two hundred essential geography vocabulary for land and water features, map reading, etc. Each vocabulary card introduces clear definitions and visual support to help concepts stick.

This set also includes cards for each country around the world and all fifty states of the United States of America โ€” learning capitals and fascinating fun facts along the way.

Cards are printed four to a page and designed to be folded, then glued or laminated and cut apart to create a sturdy deck.

One deck for all years. Grades K-9.

Timeline Figures
Product Description

Your family will love learning about historical figures using Timeline Coloring Pages and Booklets!

Each year of our Tapestry Timeline Coloring Pages and Timeline Booklets includes a full set of the timeline figures that we have currently compiled for that time period (see lists in the samples for more information about which historical figures are included).

In the Booklets, each individual figure includes the name, timeline dates, two picture variations (color or black-and-white outline for coloring), and several spaces to fill in facts or draw pictures.  These digital pages are meticulously designed to be printed and folded as booklets.

The simplest way to make a booklet is to print the page and fold it, but you may prefer to cut the page into quarters, stack them, and staple them together.  See the video attached to this product for directions. Grades K-6.

Year 1 Activities Book
Product Description

History-based activity books are wonderful for kinesthetic (hands-on) learning, but they can be hard to find, so we wrote our own!  Each project in this first full-unit set comes with a complete (and pre-tested) set of instructions for projects.  We tried to use common, inexpensive craft supplies as much as possible, and we included hand-drawn coloring pages or worksheets to help younger students understand the goal.  Finally, you will find a teacher script for each project so that teachers can lead classes in historical art appreciation based on each project!  Nine projects are included in each unit product. Grades K-9.

Weft History Audio
Product Description

Together with his sidekicksโ€”Ted the Thread and Nelly the Needleโ€”Nate Somerville narrates history in a way designed to help Lower Grammar and Upper Grammar students understand the tapestry of human experience and Godโ€™s grace. Grades K-6.

Grammar History Activity Book
Product Description

Over 100 pages of coloring, connect-the-dots, matching, sequencing, mazes, and some mapwork, covering most weeks in Year 1. Grades K-3.

Lapbooks
Product Description

Our History and Literature Lapbooks are great for your hands-on learner who loves to create while they learn! Flaps, tabs, mini-books, pockets, timelines, and interactive elements transform simple folders and paper into vibrant learning displays that truly bring subjects to life.

Each bright and engaging History Lapbook is filled with activity booklets that coordinate with Tapestryโ€™s history assignments for grammar-level students, allowing them to write about historical figures, copy famous quotations, draw inventions from the era, match architectural styles to their names, and creatively interact with the people and events they are studying.

Tapestryโ€™s History Lapbooks are available as sixteen colorful, nine-week hands-on activity kits offered as digital downloads, designed to bring learning to life while providing opportunities for assessment, review, and educational fun. Each bright and engaging lapbook

Tapestryโ€™s Literature Lapbooks extend the same hands-on creativity into the world of books. Designed to accompany poetry, plays, and stories, these lapbooks help students interact deeply with what they readโ€”not just retell it.

Lapbooks are fun for the students and can be a helpful evaluation tool for the teacher. Finished lapbooks are also a great display of a studentโ€™s work! Grades K-6.

Handwriting
Product Description

This Tapestry Handwriting Studies product is a unit of history-based handwriting worksheets.  Each week includes multiple worksheets to help students at Writing Levels 1-6 practice writing historical vocabulary terms from Year 4 in both print and cursive, as well as in both upper and lowercase letters. Grades K-3.

English Grammar
Product Description

Tapestryโ€™s English Grammar program delivers an innovative history-based set of lessons, offering student worksheets and teacher answer keys for a thirty-six-week course on the fundamentals of English Grammar. The weekly practice sets use sentences from Tapestry of Grace history studies at the Upper Grammar learning level (Grades 4-6). This English Grammar program delivers the same โ€œstarter setโ€ of grammatical concept lessons with four different sets of practice worksheets and answer keys for each of the four years of Tapestry of Grace. It is designed primarily for Upper Grammar students, but Dialectic and Rhetoric students can also use the English Grammar program for review. Grades 4-6.

Warp
Product Description

The Warp Readeris a history book for Dialectic and Rhetoric students.  It is not a textbook, but it does contain a lively account of basic information about history so that your students can still be prepared for their Tapestry discussions even if they do not have access to any of the living books on our lists.  This โ€œcoreโ€ or โ€œspineโ€ or โ€œoverviewโ€ book averages fifteen pages per chapter.  It is available for all four years, and it is designed for Grades 7-12.

Shorter Works Anthology
Product Description

Shorter Works Anthologies: classic literary texts, primarily poems, short stories, and plays, reformatted and annotated for Tapestry of Grace students: Grades 10-12.

Poetics
Product Description

Poetics may be best described as a โ€œliterature handbookโ€ for the study of Western Canon fiction.  It provides the historical background and literary analysis tools useful for the study of poetry, fiction, and drama. Grades 10-12.

Please note that the Poetics handbook is used for all four years (Year 1 through Year 4) at the Rhetoric learning level, so there is no need to repurchase each year.

Year 1 Literature Studies for Young Adults
Product Description

Literature Studies for Young Adults takes you and your students through a series of stories, plays, and poems, arranged in historical order. (Most of the selected titles are the same as those now listed for dialectic students in Tapestry of Grace, but not all are.) In studying these works, students encounter both literary techniques and historical worldviews. Students will have exercises and discussions that aim to equip them to analyze literature for themselves, using a toolbox of literary analysis terms and concepts that we introduce.

Features of this one-year Literature study:

If used with high school students, we recommend combining Literature Studies with a writing program (and optionally an English grammar program) in order to earn a regular English credit. Writing assignments are thus provided for every week-plan in Literature Studies for Young Adults, and the use of the Writing Aids handbook is recommended. The assignments follow the established writing sequence from Year 1 of Tapestry of Grace.

Volume 1 covers literature pertaining to the Ancient World and takes 36 school weeks to complete.

This program dovetails with Tapestry history plans, but is also useful for families that do not use Tapestry of Grace.

This program can be used with students in grades 7-9.

If used with younger students, discussions are optional.

Key Documents in Government Studies
Product Description

Key Documents in Government Studies: excerpts from primary source documents in political theory and history.

Read primary classical authors like Aristotle and Augustine, important political thinkers of the medieval to early modern world, and early Supreme Court cases and other primary source documents that shaped the development of 19th-century law and politics in America. All four years, Grades 10-12.

Living book lists

Living Books are not included with your purchase. In addition to the curriculum and supplements, you will need to purchase at least some living books. The cost of these varies with your selections and library usage. Please note that some of our supplements (Weft History Audio and The Warp Reader) can reduce the number of living books needed to complete the Tapestry of Grace program.
